Self Care is Health Care!

Skin care is not a luxury, it is a necessity. Stress, anxiety, and sleepless nights all have an influence on our hormonal changes. They can really reek havoc on our skin. And "face" it (pun intended), some of us just have outrageous life expectations! It is important to understand that the chaos in your life can trigger hormonal imbalances that result in breakouts, rosacea, and sensitivity (in your skin, not just making you cry in the car while waiting on the kids next activity). It can also be responsible for hair loss and that weird rash.  Everything in life shows up on your skin. It is the largest organ of your body. A good diet, laughter, and self care can calm the soul, and soothe the skin. It is time to take care of you! Self care is not selfish! Give yourself permission to get a facial, back treatment or even a massage.  SELF CARE is HEALTH CARE!

Why should I get a CBD facial?

Written by: Future Esthetician Jocelyn Trimmier  CBD ORIGIN Cannabidiol (CBD) is a natural chemical compound found in the Cannabis plant. It’s one of two main ingredients in Cannabis, the second being Tetrahydrocannibinol (THC). CBD IN SKINCARE Unlike THC (the active psychotropic), CBD is non-intoxicating and cannot be absorbed into the bloodstream topically. CBD in skincare contains less that .3% THC, which according to the 2018 Farm Bill, is  under  the legal limit. CBD BENEFITS CBD is known for its antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial, anti-fungal healing properties. CBD is great for aging, acne, hyperpigmentation, eczema, rosacea, and psoriasis. Teacher notes: CBD facials are great for balancing the skin, and leaving behind a natural glow. Our bodies are designed to accept the benefits  of CBD by using receptors in our endocanibinoid system. It is exciting to know that we are designed to use what nature supplies for us. Get back to simple nature.

Throw away your eyelash curler!

Written by future esthetician:  Lauren Tate       Is your eyelash curler one of your most essential makeup tools in your tool box?? If so, you might be the perfect candidate for a lash lift and tint!      A lash lift is a semi-permanent curl for your eyelashes that lasts 6-8 weeks. And the tint is specifically designed to darken your eyelashes for the same length of time. Imagine not having to curl, or put mascara on for 8 weeks! I have personally had mine lifted and tinted and I love it! I used to rely so much on having my mascara with me, and now I hardly ever wear it! Now I will say this, sometimes really really short lashes are hard to lift. but anyone can get a tint! I swear you will love this service! You will most definitely be coming back at the end of those 6-8 weeks to get it again! It is by far one of my favorite things to get, and to do for a client! So throw away that eyelash curler, and get a lash lift and tint. See you soon.

Can medications interfere with a Facial Treatment?

Types of Medications That Interfere with Facial Treatments   Facial treatments have quickly become the favorite cosmetic and medical spa treatments in recent years. Procedures like microdermabrasion,  laser hair removal , and chemical peels have quickly become household topics since advanced therapies are more accessible than ever. However, medications like antidepressants, antihistamines, and allergy prescriptions can potentially interfere with various facial treatments’ effectiveness.   If you’re considering undergoing any type of facial treatment, talk with your doctor and a licensed aesthetician to understand how your medication regime may react with the procedure you’re seeking. Take time to educate yourself about the risks involved with undergoing facial treatments while on certain medications, so you can make an informed decision about  whether or not  it’s right for you.   How Medications Impact the Safety and Effectiveness of Facial Treatments   Many different medications he
